It was still okay for a youngster, but it was very torturous for the elders. Their legs had been shaking nonstop ever since they knelt and they could barely stand properly.
Among the crowd, a young woman was holding a one-year-old kid. The kid would not know anything about the situation, so he felt that it was funny when he saw his mother kneeling. Just as he was about to laugh, his mother immediately covered his mouth to stop him.
As the mother was too nervous, she covered the kid’s mouth very tightly to the extent that he could barely breathe. Tears started to roll down the kid’s cheek. He was unable to cry out loud as his mother was covering his mouth. He continued struggling in his mother’s arm, and his face started to get pale.
Gu Xijiu inadvertently glimpsed in that direction and saw the scene. She was shocked. The kid would be smothered!
She flicked her finger and launched an invisible force which hit the mother’s hand. The mother immediately lost her strength, and her hand fell. The young woman’s face immediately turned pale as she thought that the kid was going to cry out loud.
Nevertheless, the kid was only breathing heavily and did not make any noise. The young woman was relieved, and she decided not to cover the kid’s mouth anymore. She continued kneeling together with the crowd.
