Chapter 1209: About Swapping Bodies
Gu Xijiu used to live freely and enjoyed her freedom very much. However, she accepted the arrangement as she knew that Di Fuyi’s intentions were good.
Therefore, she practiced for three days, but, she only practiced for four hours in the morning and evening respectively. During her spare time, she paid a visit to Rong Jialuo. She was relieved as she knew that everything in the palace was under control now and they even had a meal together when Rong Jialuo took a walk around the town.
During lunch, they unintentionally talked about Rong Che. Though Rong Che had almost killed Rong Jialuo, he did not hate him. After all, both of them have been fighting for several years. Though they were not on the same page all the time, they saw each other every day. In fact, they were quite close to each other. Hence, Rong Jialuo sounded slightly depressed when they were talking about Rong Che.
Before Rong Che’s true identity was exposed, he was very helpful to his brother as he had helped Rong Jialuo to get many things done. Gu Xijiu listened to Rong Jialuo silently and understood a little more about Mo Zhao’s behaviors.
One used to say ’To win the battle, you have to know yourself and your enemy.’ Hence, she needed to know more about Mo Zhao to defeat him in the future.
Gu Xijiu returned to Fucang Hall after lunch. On the way back, she received a directed audio message from Long Siye, and both of them had a short conversation. He wanted to know whether she had swapped back into her original body and so she answered him honestly.
Long Siye remained silent on the other end and then added, "Something is wrong with your current clone body, and it might become a problem in the future. Why don’t I go over and swap it for you?"
