He could not help but glance over at Gu Xijiu. He had not expected that her to be this observant. If he were alone, he would not have hesitated to venture into the place. However, now that he had Gu Xijiu with him in the carriage, he was certainly not going to let her take any risks. He could only mark the location for now and inform the others about it later on.
"Boss Gu, it is nothing but a land of snow. We should head back now. Aren’t you in a hurry to meet up with Rong Jialuo and the rest of them?" As Mu Dian was trying to convince her, he quickly accelerated and attempted to elevate the carriage to a greater height.
"There is something wrong, let me go and take a look!" After that, Gu Xijiu immediately teleported away.
Mu Dian was stunned. He panicked as he quickly lowered the carriage and headed over to the area as well. The location where Gu Xijiu had landed was filled with evil energy. She could sense that the place was being shielded by a wizard’s barrier!
The ground that she was stepping on was not covered in snow, but instead wisps of thin and snowy clouds. The clouds felt extremely cold. The temperature of the surrounding area was probably below negative 10 degree Celsius. It was so cold that her boots were starting to freeze and attach itself to the layer of the cloud where she had landed.
Strangely enough, she could hear sounds of utterly dreary cries and screams coming from within the clouds. The evil influence was starting to affect her.
She quickly manipulated the Fire Power to circle her body. She then pulled out the sword that was given to her by Di Fuyi. It was a parting gift to her before he left and was said to have the ability to kill all sorts of demons.
She had not tried using the sword against demons before, but she was sure that the sword was able to penetrate through the wizard’s barrier.
