While Asher fought Draegonoth in the demon realm, the situation in the human world was spiraling out of control.
Liloth was furious. Determined to capture Asher for the Priestess’s kidnapping, she summoned her strongest knights and among them was Ivy.
It had only been a day since the Priestess disappeared, yet Asher’s wanted posters covered every inch of the kingdom. A hefty bounty had hunters across Eldoria scrambling to find him, but there was no trace of the accused.
Meanwhile, his mother, Onalena, had just settled into a new home—one she had rented with the money Asher had given her. She barely had time to take it all in before the door burst open.
Liloth stormed inside, followed by Mrs. Rambrandt and a squad of holy knights. They didn’t knock. They didn’t ask questions. They simply invaded, their armored boots thudding against the wooden floor as they tore apart the house in search of something—anything—that could tie Asher to the crime.
Onalena’s heart pounded.
Liloth’s cold, calculating gaze swept across the modest home before settling on her.
"So, you’ve got yourself a new place to live, huh?" The guildmaster’s voice dripped with disdain as she strode around, running a gloved hand over the furniture. "A little too fancy for someone like you. I mean... you lost your guildcards after all."
Onalena clenched her fists, trying to steady her breathing. Sharon had mentioned earlier that Asher was being accused of working with the Revolutionaries—but that was all she knew.
Liloth’s gaze darkened. "Where is your devil of a son?"
