Chapter 14. The Behemoth Slayer no one believes in
The bow and arrow I had summoned weren't just ordinary weapons. Thanks to all the years I spent watching fiction movies in my past life, I had the perfect idea—an arrow engulfed in flames, fired from a bow designed for destruction.
As I let the arrow fly, the Behemoth was also preparing to hurl its massive ball of lava at me. But my shot landed first.
The system said this creature was immune to fire, but no creature in any world is immune to a direct shot to the groin. The arrow struck hard, and the Behemoth let out a wretched howl, writhing in pain. Its lava attack veered off course, smashing into what little remained of the upper floor and bringing the entire structure down.
Debris rained from above. I was exhausted, drained, and barely able to stand. But I refused to let this be my end. Using what little strength I had left, I ran across the crumbling floor. Every step I took, the ground collapsed behind me. The Behemoth was too injured to stand, so it remained trapped beneath the falling walls, eventually crashing down to the lower floor with a deafening thud. I wasn't sure where exactly it landed, but its agonized wail echoed through the dungeon until it went silent.
Meanwhile, l was running out of places to step. The only path left was a sheer wall that stretched upward with no ladder, or footholds to step on. I was screwed. It was only a matter of time before I joined my defeated opponent in the abyss below.
