Gu Fangzi replied with a good-natured smile, looked straight into Mrs. Li’s eyes, and earnestly said: "These past few days, Fangzi has thought over many things and has come to understand many principles. Mrs. Li, if Fangzi has offended you in any way in the past, please forgive her! Fangzi knows what to do now! Please rest assured, Mrs. Li!" After finishing her words she smiled sweetly and, accompanied by Lan Xiang, gracefully took her leave.
Mrs. Li opened her mouth but couldn’t find the words to speak for a while.
However, Shi Fengju’s eyes deepened; he glanced at Mrs. Li and shook his head inwardly, his clever wet nurse also had moments of failing to see through things!
