Li Si turned right in the direction indicated and saw Bai Shasha standing at the entrance of the banquet hall. She was dressed in a white princess dress and matching 5-centimeter high shoes, with light makeup highlighting her smiling face. "You, always so elusive, finally decided to show up!" she greeted warmly.
"What are you talking about? If I didn’t come to your engagement, you wouldn’t let me off! Where’s your Cao Yufan?" Li Si looked around curiously.
"He’s already gone inside with a few friends. I’m here to welcome you, my honored guest!" Bai Shasha wrinkled her nose, eyeing Li Si.
Today, Li Si wore a pink off-the-shoulder mini dress with her shiny black hair pinned up high, revealing her slender neck. She only had her eyebrows done, pretty much coming bare-faced, her eyes clear and innocent like a child’s.
"I’m so flattered!" Li Si playfully patted her heart, pretending to wipe away nonexistent tears, "I’m moved to tears!"
"Oh, get in here! It’s all family; I’ll introduce you to everyone later!"
The two chatted as they entered the hall. The relatively small banquet hall held about five round tables.
A few people were seated at each table, looking like they were relatives and friends from both families, mostly engaged in conversations.
