Chapter 9 - 7 Back to School
In the remaining time, Li Si went on a buying spree in Beijing, purchasing two connected commercial properties—a ground floor with an upper floor—for 2.3 million and 1.8 million respectively. Then, she spent another 1.5 million on a top-floor high-rise apartment over 200 square meters. Looking at her bank balance of over 2 million and five property deeds in hand, Li Si felt she could wake up laughing even from her dreams.
As the volume of fruits and vegetables in her space grew, the issue of storage became increasingly urgent. Luckily, the space had an automatic preservation feature, so there was no risk of spoilage.
One day, Li Si noticed the simple prefab steel houses being used at construction sites and suddenly had an idea. She contacted a manufacturer to order customized sizes, producing over a dozen of varying specifications.
Li Si found a secluded spot in the outskirts, desolate and far from people, and had the houses—including large storerooms and small shelters for animals—delivered to the designated location. Once the workers assembled everything and left, Li Si put them all into her space, then caught a plane back to North City the same day.
If any curious worker had noticed what transpired at that location, it would surely become yet another bizarre mystery case.
Using her spiritual power, Li Si organized the houses into a layout—sorting the fruits and herbs into categories and placing them neatly in storerooms. She divided the orchard and herbal areas into separate regions, while the river's fish, shrimp, and crabs grew in numbers, and even the chickens and ducks were reproducing. She put up fences around them.
Looking at the space again, everything was orderly and well-planned. It was like a tiny world, and the ruler of this little kingdom was none other than Li Si.
Tomorrow was September 15th, the opening day of North City University. Li Si's second uncle had rushed back from a trucking job in another city, and Zhang Meihua had embellished plenty of malicious gossip about Li Si. Her second uncle, Li Guofu, was furious, feeling that his niece was being ungrateful. His elder brother was no longer around, so why was it wrong for him, as her uncle, to want to take care of her?
