Chapter 21: Love and Care
The SMD was the Superhuman Management Department, and it was in charge of handling every issue related to superhumans in the country. It was led by some of the most powerful superhumans in the country, so every other superhuman knew better than to go against its laws.
Jason was an A rank, and this was only his first offense after he gained his Gift, so the SMD were probably going to be lenient on him, but Gina was an adult and she had been a superhuman for years. They would sanction her mercilessly if she even tried using her abilities outside!
"Excuse me! Excuse me, Miss Gina!"
A voice called from behind Gina and she turned around to see a female soldier coming toward her quickly. The female soldier was obviously not happy from the expression on her face, and she looked like she was only a moment away from cursing everyone around her.
The female soldier spoke with a frown.
"Where did Mr. Jason go to!? The government would like to have a word with him concerning his actions today!"
"Sorry, but that has to wait. His mum is in the hospital! He'll contact you!"
Gina quickly hailed a cab and told them where she was going, and the female soldier cursed as she turned around and told her men to begin packing up. She was only a regular human, so she knew there was nothing she could do to stop a superhuman from doing what they wanted, but having her authority disregarded so easily was grating on her nerves!
The gate had already closed and the reporters were only giving a last-minute recap of the events to their listeners, so their work here was done. She needed to report this to her superiors.

At the General Hospital in the heart of the city, doctors and nurses were moving around to handle the patients in their wards. There were people sitting in the waiting room and they were being called on one after another to be attended to.
