Chapter 19: It’s Going To Blow!
A man suddenly woke up the two women and put his hand on Rose's shoulder.
"Rose, that's enough. You're causing a scene. It's already bad enough that you beat up that man last week. At this rate, we won't be getting any more contracts this month,"
He was a handsome man with a head of blonde hair and blue eyes. He had a permanently bored look on his face, like he was perpetually tired of life and everything in it, but there was also a sense of responsibility around him that allowed people to trust his judgment.
His name was George, and he was one of the Vice Captains of the Hornet Guild.
He didn't like the fact that Rose had such a short fuse, and he knew that because of what she was doing, their rating with the public was going to drop. Just last week, another Guild Master tried poaching some of the members of their guild and she ended up beating him up when she got too angry.
This negatively affected their public rating and made it drop! Public rating was also important in deciding which guild got a contract for a Gate mission, and if a guild's rating went too low, then the government would start giving the contracts to other guilds rather than their own.
Rose turned to give George a hard look, and George didn't back down from her stare because he knew he wasn't wrong. He tilted his head towards all the reporters who were still taking pictures and narrowed his eyes at her, and Rose clicked her tongue.
"I wouldn't have caused a scene if this bitch didn't start with me. She's a fucking nuisance."
Rose glared up at Gina again, and Gina bared her teeth in return!
George was about to speak up a second time, but he was interrupted by a gust of wind that blew across the area!
