Chapter 6: Necromancer System
Jason whispered to the boys!
"Hey, get up! Get up and move!"
Jason tried to tell the boys to get to their feet, but the boys were being difficult as they still writhed on the ground like worms, and Jason decided that he had done everything he could! He wasn't going to risk his life trying to save people who didn't want to be saved! Jason immediately trained to the side as silently as possible and hid behind a large tree!
He tried his best to calm his breathing so his heart would stop beating so loudly, and he watched as a pack of three giant wolves appeared through the foliage of the forest.
They were as tall as a grown man and had white fur with black streaks across their bodies. Their teeth gleamed in the moonlight whenever they growled, and their claws looked sharp enough to tear through a man in one slash! They calmly stalked through the foliage like apex predators and looked around dangerously, and it wasn't long before they caught sight of the three boys on the floor!
Jason gritted his teeth as he heard one of them howl loudly before all three of them pounced on the boys! The boys screamed in fear when they saw the wolves and they finally tried getting to their feet so they could run, but they weren't able to go anywhere as the wolves descended on them immediately!
The sound of screams filled the night and were followed by the crunching of bones and tearing of flesh! The wolves didn't hold back as they tore through the boys easily, and Jason risked looking behind the tree to make sure that none of the wolves were nearby!
Once he was sure that there weren't any wolves, he quickly tried getting to his feet! The wolves weren't going to feast forever! When they were done with the boys, they would turn around and look for more food! He couldn't be there when the wolves finished! He had to get out of there!
Jason began to creep his way through the forest desperately! If he could find a place to hide, like a cave or even a thick bush where he wouldn't be seen, then he could lay in waiting until the Superhumans got there! He just had to survive somehow!
Jason was as silent as possible as he moved through the forest. The sound of the wolves feeding behind him assured him that he wasn't being followed, and as the sound grew further away, he became more and more confident in his steps as he realized that he was far enough to move faster!
Jason looked around to find a place to hide and he saw a large shrub at the other side of the forest that was the perfect size for him to crawl into! Jason moved towards it and he parted the shrub.
