Immediately after those words left Zethan’s lips, Lilia’s face flushed hard. This man had his way with words—it was like he was made to craft them. He made a normal word sound twice as sexy as it should be.
She quickly turned her face to the side to hide her blush, sitting up straighter as the car moved. The sudden acceleration made her shift backward with a slight jolt.
Then Zethan spoke, his voice low with concern. "Put your seatbelt on, Loris."
Lilia’s lips curled into a smile. "But I don’t want to," she replied, her tone soft yet teasing.
Zethan’s eyes widened slightly, caught off guard. His gaze moved to the rearview mirror. "Loris," he said again, this time with a smile tugging at his lips.
What was this wife of his up to, huh?
"Ooh, are you trying to be very naughty?" he asked playfully.
Lilia tilted her head and turned her face to the side. Her hands moved to her neck, brushing her hair away to reveal her slender neckline. "What if I am?" she whispered softly.
Zethan’s eyes flicked from the rearview mirror to the road ahead, then to Lilia again through it, and back to the road. His gaze was everywhere, filled with hesitation as he took his time deciding something.
Meanwhile, Lilia held onto the front seats, her hand resting casually at the side.
"Oh sweetheart, chose to be naughty now of all times, huh," he muttered to himself as he kept driving. "You seductive little wife of mine, huh?" he added under his breath, his jaw tightening ever so slightly as he bit his lips softly.
