Vampire's Veil Of Obsession

Inside a large, spacious bedroom, two figures cuddled beneath the covers of a beautiful king-sized bed. Although it was still broad daylight, thick curtains had been drawn, dimming the room. The only illumination came from a small golden bedside lamp, casting a soft, warm glow.

Lilia and Zethan lay close together, wrapped in comfortable silence and blankets. Zethan wore only a pair of dark pants, his bare chest exposed under the blanket, while Lilia was dressed in a simple shirt and shorts, her body pressed against his. They gazed at one another, their eyes speaking what words could not.

Lilia giggled softly. "If you keep looking at me like that, I’m never going to sleep," she teased. "Not to mention, this husband of mine isn’t even wearing a shirt."

Zethan chuckled lowly and pulled her closer, her head resting against his chest as he gently patted her hair in a slow, soothing rhythm. It was like he was lulling her to sleep, one stroke at a time.

She stirred a little, then whispered, "Do we have anything else planned?"

"Yes," Zethan replied. "There’s a tea party this evening. But if you don’t want to come, I won’t push. Why would I disturb my lovely wife when we could do something more fun?"

Lilia shook her head, her lips curling into a soft smile. "Of course, I’d love to come. I want to spend more time with you. And a tea party sounds... fun."

Now why did she imagine it as a little kids’ tea party?

"You need to learn so you can play tea party with our daughter."

Zethan nodded. "You’re right, my wife."

Zethan smirked as her hand traced over his abs under the blanket, mimicking the tender way he’d stroked her hair. Her touch was light, comforting. Zethan’s body stiffened at the sweetness of her touch—oh, only if she went lower.
