Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Zethan continued, his movements relentless. Lilia's vision blurred as she finally reached her peak, her release spilling onto his lips and face, where he remained locked against her.
Her breath came in soft, uneven gasps as her trembling body slowly settled. The heat of the moment left her dazed, her muscles weak, as if all the strength had drained from her limbs.
"You..." Her weak voice barely escaped her lips, little more than a whisper.
Zethan smiled, savoring the way she trembled in his hold, her body now completely freed of restraint, moving instinctively toward him. There was something intoxicating about the way she surrendered—how, despite her attempts to fight it, her body still responded so beautifully to his touch.
Carefully, he caught her before she could slump forward, lifting her with ease and turning her onto the bed. She barely stirred, her breathing already evening out.
He was surprised to find her already asleep.
A sigh escaped him as he gazed down at her peaceful form, brushing a stray strand of golden-brown hair from her face. Even in sleep, she was stunning. Her long lashes rested delicately against her cheeks, and her slightly parted lips looked so soft, so inviting.
Zethan tilted his head slightly, his fingers lingering near her cheek before he withdrew them.
He whispered, more to himself than to her, "What are you doing to me, Lilia?"
The question hung in the air, unanswered, as he continued watching her—his gaze dark with something unreadable.
Zethan licked his lips, chuckling as he recalled her earlier words about whether what they had done was even legal. He chuckled again before pinching her cheeks—then suddenly stilled.
