Breakfast felt a little stifling. Connie was the last to learn about everything, and she didn’t say a word. After finishing her meal, she quietly pulled Yi Luowa along for a walk in the back garden to relieve some stress.
The two strolled and stopped intermittently, playing around for less than an hour when Tong Aino showed up. "Sis-in-law, the news conference is being broadcast live on TV. Do you want to watch it?"
Yi Luowa paused for a moment, then shook her head. "We already know the outcome. I won’t watch."
Tong Aino glanced at her. "Mom asked the servants to prepare ice packs for you. If you’re not watching TV, go upstairs and use them. Don’t let Second Uncle see and feel distressed."
Yi Luowa pressed her lips together briefly. "Fine, I’ll go upstairs. You should keep Connie company."
Connie tugged at her arm, "I’ll go with you."
Yi Luowa blinked at her, "You’re ridiculous!"
Connie gave a gentle smile. "Fifth Brother has so much to do; he doesn’t have time to keep me company."
Tong Aino snorted indignantly, "You’re absolutely mistaken. I’m extremely free right now."
Yi Luowa pushed him lightly, "You’re even more annoying than your brother! Everything good turns sour in your mouth!"
