To his surprise, Ye Chen actually refused everything.

"Elder Li, I don't want money either, nor do I need people. My coming here today, in fact, was just to inform you about some past matters, so you can be prepared."

"Elder Li, if I really wanted material rewards, then I wouldn't need to protect Miss Lin. I'm doing this for my own beliefs, for my own dreams. If it's about making money, I believe no one could surpass me."
In fact, when Ye Chen said this, it wasn't just talk. With his current capabilities, he indeed had every ability to earn that money.

Upon hearing this, Elder Li simply nodded slightly, affirming his approval of the man.

After finishing his words, Ye Chen stood up because he felt that he had already relayed all necessary details, and so, he saw no need to stay any longer.

When Elder Li saw that Ye Chen was probably about to leave, he suddenly called out, causing Ye Chen to pause.
"Elder Li, what's the matter? Is there something else?"
"Since you don't want any help from me, I think there are some things—not material things, and not overt—I can still provide you."

"Since you are so skilled, I think you should have something for self-defense. So, Zhui Feng, take him to see. If there's anything he finds suitable, let him take whatever he wants."
"Alright, Elder Li, don't worry."

When they reached a crossroad, an electric car came from the direction they headed, and eventually, both men boarded the vehicle.
After the vehicle traveled for about fifteen minutes, it finally stopped steadily outside a bungalow.
From the outside, it looked merely like a shed, likely where the garden workers stayed, situated on a grassy area.
This puzzled Ye Chen—could it be this was where they intended to find the item?
"How? Doesn't this place seem right?"
"It's not that—I just thought this was a shed? Are you saying you just casually store things here?"
Given that it involved sophisticated modern weapons, surely they needed to be securely stored, not just randomly placed in a room.
"You shouldn't judge merely by appearances. Come, once you go inside, you'll understand."
After saying this, he just gestured with a wave of his hand, and then he led the way towards that cottage.
The door wasn't even locked. Upon opening it, Ye Chen immediately noticed a musty smell inside, looked down to see just a bed with some bedding, a wardrobe, a table, and some miscellaneous living items in the corner.
Besides these, the room was pretty bare, seemingly with nowhere to hide anything.
Ye Chen slightly furrowed his brows. From this perspective, it seemed that there wasn't any significant hiding place here.
However, Zhui Feng knew everything, so he just smiled slightly and then pulled out a black remote control from his pocket, pressing a button thereafter.
