Kyle’s mana surged violently, crackling like a storm as he swung his blade forward with intent to kill.
The temple quaked under the sheer pressure of his will. The slash of his blade tore through space, the force condensed into a single arc of searing energy that roared toward Goddess Charrin.
But she didn’t move.
With the calmness only a divine being could possess, Charrin lifted one hand—and with a flick of her fingers, summoned a radiant shield of divine light.
Kyle’s attack slammed against it, exploding in a brilliant display of sparks and shockwaves.
The temple floor splintered beneath her, but the goddess stood untouched, not a strand of her shimmering hair out of place.
She tilted her head and smiled.
"What do you plan to do once you’ve defeated us all, Kyle Armstrong?"
Kyle didn’t respond immediately. He leapt forward, swinging again.
Their blades—his physical sword and her conjured one of pure divine force—clashed violently, each blow echoing through the chamber like thunder.
Charrin pressed forward, speaking with ease despite the intensity of their battle.
