Jenny was utterly stunned, then hurriedly asked, "Are you saying that Astroon Mountain was razed to the ground? That was October of the previous year. It’s now April!"
"Ten years and one year? April? Sixteen months?"
Yang Tianwei pondered for a while, then continued looking at Jenny and asked, "Your Chinese is very fluent. Do you live in China year-round?"
"No, no!"
Jenny saw the slight blush on Yang Tian’s face but quickly said, "I’m just interested in Chinese culture. I’m a journalist for a private Chinese TV station, but I know a lot about China."
"Oh? Do you know anything significant happening in China recently?" Yang Tian asked again.
"Significant matters? Too many!"
Jenny immediately regarded her information as a treasure trove.
She mentioned that for over a year, China had been subjected to economic sanctions and import-export restrictions by certain countries, as well as disputes over islands and coastal areas.
Hearing Jenny’s words, Yang Tian smiled faintly and said, "It seems a lot has happened in the year and more that I’ve been absent. There was a war between Japan and China? It seems they didn’t anticipate the consequences of starting it."
