Chapter 1390: Mission Accomplished
From the rooftop Clift who was hiding behind his black mask watched the fight intently and as Lory’s husband who had faced the paladins said, he said there was something strange about the paladins’ power but since he wasn’t a gifted person he couldn’t be sure but his instincts told him that their power although seemed bright and holy didn’t feel like it unlike Lory’s healing power.
Since the ones facing Zhao Li Xin weren’t the Constellation group, Clift wondered if their power differed from the elite Paladins like Sean and his friends.
Sean raised the holy shield in front of him as protection then his sword shone very brightly as if it was soaked in white light. Maybe in the eyes of ordinary people Sean and his friends looked like angels descend from the heaven.
However, for someone like Clift who grew up around the Lucient family, he was used to the power of lights. When he was healed by Lory’s healing power, it was like being soaked in a hot spring, and it felt warm and comfortable. Even the people around him could feel it as well, the same way with Lucas, even though the feeling was a bit different but they could feel the similarity of their power, the Lucient’s power.
But Sean and his friend’s power...something is off. It doesn’t feel divine but more like a cheap trick of holy power as he can’t feel anything from their power but ferocity and malice, yes, there’s a strange peculiarity and...coldness, why is it?
"Get down from there!" Sean suddenly jumped high and attacked Clift. He raised his sword and attacked Clift.
Clift immediately took out his dagger to ward off the sword. Before long, a metallic sound echoed in the previously silent night.
Sean launches a series of attacks, but Clift manages to parry his attacks effortlessly, not even a strand of his hair touch. It felt like Clift was playing with him, which made Sean even infuriated.
