Late at night in the bustling city of Eagle Rock at Hamilton Mansion, a shadow creeps along the wall at high speed. Meanwhile, Hugo is sitting alone in his office checking on the files on his desk. Suddenly he hears the balcony door in his office open slightly and a cold wind blows the curtains.
The gentle movement of the curtain break his focus. He turned his head at the slightly open balcony door with a frown then his eyes scanned the room warily but he didn’t sense anything strange, coud it be coincidence?
Hugo took off his glasses and massaged his tired eyes, maybe he had been too tense lately. Even with the presence of Noxcra agents mixed with his servants in the Manor, he still couldn’t relax knowing the enemy was watching his family.
Hugo took a deep breath, he got up from his chair and walked to the balcony and gently pushed the door closed, this time he making sure he has lock the door.
Hugo peeked through the curtain looking at the gate that was being guarded tightly by security and also Noxcra agents hiding in the darkness.
Hugo took a deep breath then suddenly he was startled by a voice that suddenly came from behind him.
"Don’t worry, you’re safe here"
"Who are you?!" he reflexively reached for the gun under his robe and pointed it at the stranger wearing a black hoodie standing in front of his desk while casually checking his documents as if they were his.
The figure lower his hoodie then turn around and smiled faintly. "Sorry to startle you, Mr. Hamilton"
It took Hugo a minute to recognize who it was. Only then did his shock gradually subside, Hugo lowered his weapon and patted his chest weakly. "You almost killed this old man, Mr. Equillan," he said half-complainingly.
"That would have been counterproductive, wouldn’t you say?" Clift clasped his hands behind his back, a dangerous aura radiating around him that made Hugo hold his breath involuntarily.
