Lory pulled out Lucient’s shield and charged towards Lucas, she roe her hands and shortly afterward a dazzling purple light scattered across the room like thousands of fireflies and then engulfed Lucas’ body.
Lory focused her powers on healing Lucas. It didn’t take long before healthy color returned to Lucas’ pale face and gradually his breathing became stronger and stable.
"It... worked!" Jay was happy to see the drastic change in Lucas’ face, finally after months of despair and misery they could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Lory lowered her hand as she felt Lucas’ condition improving, but suddenly she staggered and felt everything around her spinning, only then did she realize that she had overused her power.
"Xin..." Lory said weakly.
Luckily, Zhao Li Xin had good reflexes so he caught Lory’s body before she fell.
"Lory!" Their concerns now turned to Lory.
Zhao Li Xin carries her in his arms soon worry filling his dark eyes. "Lorry, are you okay?"
Lory rested her head on Zhao Li Xin’s broad chest as she answered in a soft voice, "I’m fine, just need a good sleep." After that, her eyes slowly closed.
However, seeing Lory losing consciousness causing Jay to fall into a state of panic, he continuously called out to Lory frantically, "Lory, are you okay? Answer me, LORY, HEY LORY, LO—"
Lory’s eyes snap open "SHUT UP JAY!" after that her eyes close again.
