Edrick’s Brand Of Mercy
Lying in a field of green, under a heavy summer sun… A mostly-white robe lay on the ground without its wearer. Prevented from flying away by the foot of a golden-eyed scion pressing down on it.
Chang Sheng only threw small glances toward the main action, but most of his attention was on the restrained invaders who had callously trespassed upon land belonging to another nation with utter disregard for the law of Leynlornd. If it were only up to him, Chang would have executed them on the spot, and perhaps left only a single one to carry the clear message that this action would have carried.
However, Edrick had also been there when they ran into these fools, and he had his own idea in mind… In Chang’s eyes, it was a rather barbaric way of doing things, but he struggled to imagine how it could not be even more effective than his own plan. If anything, once word of the Elt scion’s action was spread, it would definitely cast fear into the hearts of the Journomanpian cultivators.
Death was something that most people struggled to visualise. It was frightening, but the living mind could fool itself into being unafraid until death stared them right in the eyes.
What Anoteros was doing right now, however, was far more vivid and far easier for someone to imagine. It also helped that it was far more uncommon, and they would question whether they were truly willing to risk ending up like this inner disciple. Especially since–As far as Chang was aware–Journomanp was way more against Samelinism than Leynlornd.
Of course, it would be unfair to qualify it as such when this was clearly an act of brutal Viot, but the golden-eyed scion didn’t doubt that it would also be on the mind of many Journomanpian, as to them, being Viotted in such a manner, by such a man, would not only be traumatising, but also deeply shameful and embarrassing, their masculinity would be put into question for not only being bested in combat, but so thoroughly dominated that they allowed themselves to be Viotted.
Most would have assumed that Edrick was simply letting loose of his vice and violence, but Chang Sheng knew that the purple-eyed scion was a smart and thoughtful man, so there was definitely a dimension of planning beyond just the enjoyment of the act itself.
The inner disciple could do nothing but grit his teeth, bite into the grass and dirt to muffle his groans and grunts as he felt the clubbing of Edrick's giant hidden weapon. By the scion’s design, the pain was nigh unbearable, but he also kept a strong, completely opposite sensation to the punishment he was dishing out to the trespasser.
Adding profound shame to the suffering, and while the pain was something that could be endured, the inner disciple of Shenjian Sect knew that this other sensation was something he didn’t have any means to properly conceal, so he buried his face into the ground, looking the other side as the outer disciples with him stared on in horror, they were bound in place, unable to look away from the dreadful scene taking place in front of them.
This was a kind of torture they had never even thought could befall them, but seeing it occur right in front of their eyes made it clear that there was nothing guaranteeing that they wouldn’t be the next one on Edrick’s list, especially as his stamina seemed unending.
They might have been impressed if it were a random person instead of the operation leader being brutally Viotted. The inner disciples were being treated like a cheap late-night street wanderer.
Edrick’s hand swung, producing loud claps as he violently slammed their fellow’s flesh, spouting degrading sentences without stop as they saw for themselves how compared to this tall, muscular man from Leynlornd, they were nothing. They were weak, and according to the very ideals preached in Journomanp, it meant that Anoteros was committing no wrong, for it was the right of the strong to exert influence over the weak in whatever manner they saw fit.
Of course, the Samelinism would be seen with a poor eye, but technically, there wasn’t much they could say without being hypocritical–But hypocrisy was like second nature to Journomanpian cultivators, but regardless…They kept their mouths shut, hoping that silence would allow them to avoid the fate their leader was currently enduring.
They closed their eyes, but being unable to cover their ears, they could still hear the clapping of the powerful scion’s muscular frame slamming into the inner disciple’s feeble body.
“Take it”
With a dominant grunt, the purple-eyed scion grabbed the inner disciple by the hair, pulling his head off the ground with great force, revealing the shameful expression contorted with pain adorning his face. Clear for the outer disciples to see as they found themselves unable to look away from the horror in front of them.
Edrick growled like a wild beast, stepping back from the trespasser as the sound of something liquid, yet thick, falling to the ground was heard.
“Are you sure you don’t want a go, Chang? This fellow makes for quite the nice Viot-toy… Or just Twintoy in general, to be honest. I bet his other grotto up there would feel quite nice, as well, heh…?”
“I’ll… I’ll bite you… You bastard…”
“Big words from someone in your position. Take care of the warm leak you have, and perhaps you’ll be more convincing”
Chang shook his head.
“I don’t know if that’s my thing. I would have to try with a Foppoof first… And also, Viotting someone is a violation of my code of conduct”
“Code of conduct?! You watched as this animal Viotted our leader for… For who knows how long!”
One of the outer disciples cried out, but earned no sympathy from Chang.
“My clan’s code of conduct is only about us to begin with, and we are only to protect innocent civilians from criminals. You are enemy soldiers being rightfully punished by someone from another great clan–You are lucky not to be like your two friends over here. You’ll have chances to better yourselves, or to at least never show your faces again relating to anything having to do with Leynlornd”
It may sound odd for a righteous cultivator to say this, but it was simply how things were in Leynlornd. The great clans didn’t mess with one another, no matter how much their ideals and views might clash. They were allies to each other and to the crown.
As such, even if Edrick’s actions were against the values of the Sheng clan, it was not their place to intervene. Though Chang’s familiarity with Edrick definitely pulled its weight as well, he normally would have at least called it out, but he considered Anoteros his friend, and also knew that Edrick wouldn’t change his ways.
Edrick shrugged.
“You would be willing to test a Foppoof? We’ll have to set something up, then…”
Whilst speaking, the Elt scion stepped up to the restrained outer disciples, his weapon of punishment still standing firmly, albeit covered in white elixir.
“I will let you guys off the hook easily–Just clean it”
“But our hands are tied behind our backs…”
“No need to play dumb, you know what I mean… Get to work before I decide to punish you as I punished him”
It didn’t take long for them to go along with the order…
