This new cultivation technique was a powerful but difficult one to practice. Unlike most of his current techniques, which only required a specific meditative posture and a particular pattern of circulation, Beast Lord’s Authority demanded more.
Firstly, Wenxiong had decided to give this one in particular to Edrick because the scion satisfied a rare condition that was a prerequisite to even beginning cultivating this technique, and that was the possession of a beast lord bloodline.
Having a beast bloodline was already uncommon enough, but a beast lord’s in particular was a rarity.
This was a technique that had been created and refined but very rarely used throughout its existence due to this simple requirement.
A restriction of this calibre resulted in a far more powerful technique, however… And that wasn’t the only thing one needed for proper cultivation.
To actually progress with it, one needed to drink beast blood regularly, and also bathe in it whilst cultivating. Furthermore, the user needed to challenge and defeat beasts as well. If any of those conditions weren’t fulfilled, or weren’t fulfilled enough, the progress with the technique would slow down and stagnate to what was basically a full stop.
Anoteros could take care of those requirements just fine. He believed that the fact that his lordly bloodline had fully integrated with his original would prove helpful as well.
And while the demands of this technique were rather steep, what it offered was great.
It naturally allowed practitioner to tame beasts, to mark them as followers, allowed beasts to learn to manipulate their size and weight, empower marked beasts, know what beasts needed to grow stronger or needed at any given time, to command beasts in general, understand tamed beasts, and share senses with them…
It even allowed beasts to share their master’s longevity and youthfulness, as well as keep their souls pristine if they were to die. It even granted authority over wild beasts and would cause them to view a good user of this technique as an apex predator. In general, this technique combined everything basic about beast taming and offered much more...
In short, a package that was simply superior to the rest.
As much as Edrick may be privileged thanks to his noble status, Wenxiong giving him such a refined and powerful technique was still a huge boon. It showed that the ancestor had a rather high level of trust for Anoteros, and was also sending the message that he saw much promise in the younger clansman…
It was a good thing that Edrick had already decided to pour more focus into his personal cultivation… This wasn’t the only high-level technique he had acquired recently.
Indeed, there had been one amongst the rewards acquired from destroying Xiao’s–Now Xiaolie–Script. The new maid was a pretty big boon by itself, especially since she still had the talent and strength of the protagonist she was once meant to be. In the future, she would make for an excellent bodyguard.
But that was a reward obtained outside of what the system had granted him.
First of all, there were the two innate abilities he had obtained. One was Purging Advance–Which he had put to good use with the deer girl–And the other was Victor’s Right.

It was a simple ability that could pair nicely with Display Of Dominance. It would basically help those Anoteros defeated understand their place better.
He had gained a bunch of consumables, including five Elixirs Of Rossification, and five–Now four–Everlasting Elixirs Of Inversion.
These were assets that Edrick was planning to hold on to. The former could be used a bit more wantonly, as it merely turned a woman into a Rococoli, but in essence, they remained the same woman.
The latter, though, could transform most unappealing men into women capable of bearing his children. If he spotted male talents that had no future as twinks, Anoteros could simply have them drink one of such elixirs so as to keep them all for himself.
It might not sound like much at face value, but even if Xiaolie wasn’t talented at all, she would be very valuable. The Chen bloodline was supposed to be extinct, but the blood was noble and superior. High-quality offspring could be produced, and Edrick had the monopoly on this particular bloodline…
The scion was hoping to catch more rare talents, such as Xiaolie, with these elixirs.
The other consumables were a bit more simplistic.

They were nearly all enhanced versions of consumables he had already earned in the past. Only the Heart Pill was brand-new, and its effects were noticeable indeed. Not only did his heart beat more strongly than before and was far more efficient, but Edrick was certain that it had become stronger in the sense that it would be harder to damage, and also less prone to suffering greatly if injured.
It was glorious.
Alongside the Superior Heart Pill, Anoteros had not hesitated to consume everything else–Except for the Greater Potion Of Increased Size. Since his first experience with Yaling, he knew that Balls To The Walls could not solve all problems of size difference.
So he decided to hold back from drinking this potion for now. It wasn’t like he was in need of any additional length or girth anyway…
Next, there were the full passives.
His presence had apparently been given a ‘manly’ quality, which should apparently allow others to instinctively realise that he wasn’t a poser and wasn’t to be messed with or something along those lines.
It was hard to tell the difference from before. After all, Edrick had already been plenty manly enough before.
More noticeable was the heightened upper limits of his body, which allowed him to further increase his natural bodily strength and even his intelligence. These sorts of bonuses might sound like basic stuff, but the state of his natural, cultivation-free body impacts a lot of things, acting as a sort of multiplier to the bonuses body cultivation brought him.
So even a small increase snowballed into something significant.
And lastly… There had been a passive that Anoteros simply had no idea about.
The system had told him that a ‘Mysterious Seed’ had been planted within his body, but Edrick couldn’t tell any difference, and the system wasn’t allowed to reveal the purpose of this seed.
I am telling you, if I say anything, I’ll get smitten badly by THE System. The real deal and basically my mom. She’ll beat my ass if I go out of line on this one…
It seemed like his trusty system had some limitations on certain things, but it was fine. As far as Edrick was aware, the system shouldn’t just do detrimental things to him, especially when his system was one hundred per cent on board for the ride.
Still… Just what could this seed be about?
