Good News
Whilst Fanqia was awakening her innate bloodline, Linmin was busy preparing a turkey for today’s dinner.
He often found it a shame that they only had a mundane ice house, as whilst it did its job of preserving food, it was not an immaculate perfection. Naturally, Linmin wanted to serve the freshest and best of food to Edrick.
His husband was an upper-echelon noble. He deserved only the finest treatment wherever he went. But alas, preservation arrays did not exactly wander the streets, and installing one would not be easy either…
‘What to do… What to do…’ Linmin wondered as he held a large butcher’s knife.
Each wife had a useful speciality of sorts.
Fanqia had her bloodline, Hui was a language expert, Luxuli could wield magic and possessed special eyes, and Yin was an excellent cultivator of great talent.
Linmin felt like the odd one out amidst them. His swordsmanship and cultivation were not bad, but they weren’t exactly exceptional either. There was nothing he did that couldn’t be done by many other people.
But that wasn’t right! He was the second wife. He needed to look the part. It was already a bit hard since he was the only foppoof of the residence for now, and he wouldn’t want people to think that the only reason he was a wife to begin with was merely because he was a foppoof. That was exactly the sort of thing people would use to talk badly about Anoteros!
Of course, Linmin knew that he was a wife for the simple reason that Edrick had wanted to make it so. Anoteros had just taken a liking. That was it.
As lord and patriarch of the residence, there was no need for any further reason than that. He was king here. Whomever he deemed worthy of his attention, was worthy of it, whether they liked it or not.
Linmin could simply wait for when his husband would take in another foppoof, something that was definitely going to happen. This was not a one-time thing for Edrick. Clearly, he enjoyed owning Linmin a great deal, and he enjoyed his second wife’s foppoof body as well…
However, Linmin felt that he needed to be more proactive. As such, he had turned to cuisine.
Indeed, cooking could be far more than making delicious meals and the like. If you used ingredients filled with energy or containing certain elements, you could basically do a job similar to an alchemist… However, although similar, the two were completely different in execution.
Such refined cuisine was strongly reliant on the ingredients and their quality. If one practised, they could learn how to better bring out and enhance the special effects of the ingredients.
Linmin had heard of several restaurants with a purely cultivator clientele since they made use of this special method of cooking food, offering meals that could enhance one’s strength, their affinities, their energy reserves… Basically, anything could be improved upon by what was often called a ‘spirit meal’.
This was what the second wife wanted to be able to do.
His skills in the kitchen were already impressive. Edrick had praised Linmin’s cooking many times.
In fact, his lord-husband had been so appreciative on multiple occasions that he had bent Linmin over and given him a little reward for it.
Thinking about this, the foppoof clutched the knife handle hard, a pitifully small bump forming between his legs.
‘F-Focus…I need to focus…’ naturally, he too was dearly missing his husband. The simple thought of their past intimate moments was enough to get him all excited.
Simply trying to focus was highly ineffective. He just kept thinking about Edrick's rough, masculine hands all over his body. As well as the veiny boa stretching his foppoof insides…
‘Uwah… This is terrible… Lord Edrick hasn’t even gone for that long, and I’m already a mess!’
Self-pleasuring--Even while thinking about his husband--Was far from enough. How was he supposed to even get close to a single per cent of the incredible sensations Anoteros was capable of arousing? The answer was simple: Linmin could not!
At least, there was a sense of kinship as the other wives also craved Edrick like never before at the moment.
Being a wife had plenty of privileges, but right now, the privilege of having the patriarch’s attention pretty much every day was backfiring hard.
The maids could handle seeing no action for a while. They were used to it.
The four wives who had stayed in the residence, however, could only attempt to utterly focus on something in an attempt to put their burning desire at the back of their minds.
‘It’s fine… It’s fine… Lord Edrick will return eventually! I just need to stay focused until then. Lord Edrick will touch me again when he returns. It’s fine!’ Linmin breathed in and out, eventually managing to calm down his severe case of arousal.
Linmin then tried to think about something else as he resumed his work in the kitchen--Such as how Yin might be doing. He had not had the occasion to speak with her all that much. However, being the fifth wife, it was obvious that she was a great person.
She had been able to go and accompany Edrick into the realm since she was an actually powerful cultivator. However, despite that, Linmin knew that she probably wasn’t seeing any more actions than they did due to having a mission to fulfil.
Which was perhaps even worse. Knowing that Edrick was right there, but that there was no chance of actually receiving any attention for a little while- What a terrible thought!
Linmin guessed that Yin was doing well. She hadn’t been a wife for long and hadn’t been bedded that many times by Edrick. She surely could handle not receiving affection longer than all of the wives before her.
As he was thinking about this, the foppoof heard a soft, yet firm knock at the door of the kitchen.
“Come in” he called out. Lisha stepped in, bowed slightly and stated her business.
“Lord Linmin, Lady Fanqia has awakened her innate bloodline” she stated.
“Goodness gracious- I just need to finish what I am doing, and then I am going-”
This was very big news! Fanqia didn’t just have any bloodline. She had an exceptionally rare one that would make her very desirable to just about anyone with their head screwed on right.
Thankfully, she was the property of Lord Edrick already, so there was no need to worry about anyone having thoughts of taking her away. Still, if Anoteros were here, he would surely tell everyone to keep their lips sealed about that event.
This was information that was to be revealed only in the future.
Still, what wonderful news!
