Rebirth: Exclusive Love in the End of the World

Chapter 116: Special Training Team

Han Jiaojiao followed Hong Yun to the Special Training Team’s training camp.

This place was originally a school, but after the apocalyptic world, it was incorporated into the base construction scope and transformed into a training camp.

The duties of the Special Training Team included reconnaissance, search, rescue, logistics, and support, which was different from the ability team—the main combat force in the base. Thus, the Special Training Team mainly consisted of Support Type Ability users and ordinary people who had undergone training.

Because of the high physical fitness requirements, everyone here was very young, mostly around twenty years of age, the oldest not exceeding twenty-five, and the youngest only fifteen or sixteen.

Han Jiaojiao had mixed feelings about the Special Training Team. Too many unpleasant things had happened here, but it was also the place where she had learned about survival in the apocalyptic world.

When Hong Yun and Han Jiaojiao arrived, there was a group of people on the playground engaged in combat training, while others on the track were doing weighted long-distance running drills. Upon seeing Hong Yun, they shouted one after another, "Vice-Captain!" then hurried past the two of them.

Sights like these made Han Jiaojiao feel nostalgic. There was a time when she had also been one of these people, constantly practicing various exercises to improve physical fitness...

Continuing along the playground, the two walked up to an indoor training area, where rows upon rows of equipment were laid out before them, and many were drenched in sweat, practicing boxing.

Hong Yun always advocated her team members to practice boxing more. Initially, some leaders in the base disagreed with this, since using abilities or firearms was considered the safest and most reliable option when encountering Alien Species. But Hong Yun believed, the greatest benefit of boxing was the enhancement of courage. Only with sufficient courage could one remain calm and collected when facing danger.

As it turned out, Hong Yun was right. In the following days, team members with good boxing results often performed better in their missions. Han Jiaojiao was one of these outstanding team members, maintaining composure in her tasks even after losing part of her arm.
