The Vastness of Magical Destiny

Chapter 1040: Volume 33: Where to Go from Here, - 28: Battle for the City (11)

"Oh, the Black Warrior King? There’s something interesting about that. I am indeed curious to see whether the skeleton swords in their hands are truly forged from the shinbones of our human warriors," Caesar narrowed his eyes as he spoke casually, yet both Noyola and Quintana could feel the thick intent to kill in his tone.

Komer let out a cold sneer, by this time it seemed too late for anyone who wanted to back out. Rather than skulking about, it was better to let loose and fight without reserve. In an unnoticeable manner, he released three acceleration spells in one breath, tripling the gathering speed of the Black Fog Field immediately, spreading like ink across the space, rolling and swirling, with occasional oddities vaguely visible within the fog, dazzling to the eye.

Instead of making a move right away, Caesar seemed rather interested in observing the bizarre Dark Power Field, the mysterious woman before him was clearly someone who had resurrected through possession. Caesar could even ascertain that this body before him was probably the missing Saintess Yelena from Pericles Church.

Despite Caesar’s sharp discernment, it was hard for him to see through whether this body still possessed its original essence of Light. The dense Dark Power had already settled in every tissue of this body. Caesar shook his head with some regret, even if he completely eliminated this remnant of dark undead, it would be difficult to bring back the Light Saintess of old.

Three tall Dark Flame Demons appeared in a flash, the eerie skulls on their heads had purplish-red fires flowing, the sound of their clashing bones was harsh to the ears. Two held tridents, and one wielded the Bone Spirit Flame Sword, its purple-black flames flickering uncertainly on the weapons, occasionally dripping a candle tear-like drop of bone oil on the ground, making a distinct sizzling sound.

Following the Dark Flame Demons were two Ghost Knights, their superb Ghost Warhorses allowing the Knights to roam easily through the air. Their ghostly rapid movement methods gave them even more fierce attack speed than the Necromancer Knights, and their spear shadows were like none at all but would exact a heavy toll on anyone who underestimated this seemingly phantom lance.

Caesar was slightly moved, an Undead Mage counted for little, but if that mage could easily summon so many undead, each terrifying enough to define necromancy, Caesar guessed that this ghostly woman might have stepped into the realm of a Holy Mage.
