Politically, they mostly depended on the Great Aristocracy, but economically, they were relatively independent with their own lands and manors, leading comfortable lives. However, they valued the glory and dreams that came with political careers even more, and Komer, after destroying Poznan and Silesia, had failed to appreciate this point. If they were dismissed to return home like ordinary infantrymen, the dreamless knights would surely give rise to many problems.

Renta was the first to realize this issue. As the operator behind Poznan’s policies, she was acutely aware of the problem, but solving it was beyond her capabilities. Komer, however, seemed to have forgotten about such an issue, which left Renta with no choice but to communicate with Fran in private, who was in actual charge of the Army’s composition and training. While the Wave Knight Corps had been disbanded in name, the elite forces within the knights regiments were retained by Fran. He informed these knights, who had once lost hope, that the Knights regiment was disbanded due to political reasons but could be reinstated for political needs, depending on the knights’ performances. This became the sole support for the hearts of these knight corps’ knights.

The resolution of the Silesian issue followed the same approach. The core forces of the two knights regiments were preserved, but this was not a permanent solution. To bring these knightly forces into the spotlight honorably, new missions had to be assigned to them, and the South Cordillera Wilderness affairs provided an excellent stage for this force to hone their skills.

The Wave Knight Corps and the Blazing Flame Knight Corps were merged into the Bright Torrent Knights, and the number of knights in their ranks even exceeded that of the Homer Knights. Komer even encouraged Fran to further expand this knights regiment’s might. Some previously dismissed knights were called back to service, committing these proud knights to their lord’s conquest, a task both sacred and glorious.

A Southern Expeditionary Army was rapidly formed, with not only the eager Bright Torrent Knights but also the Black Flame Knights, led by Vladimir Koff, set to appear on the South Kodillara Wilderness battlefield.
