Chapter 949: Volume 30 The Dawn of the Empire - 20 Blooming with Rage
"What do I really want? Good question, I’ve been pondering that too. What can Miss Klepper offer me?" Komer pressed her tightly against the wall at God’s platform, smiling as he looked at her. If she were to suddenly attack him at that moment, he feared he might not be able to escape. However, Komer knew that possibility was very small. A woman is always a woman, and once her psychological defenses were breached, she would no longer harbor the strength to resist. All she was thinking about now was how to avoid the worst-case scenario.
Miss Klepper was panting, his body leaning closer and closer, gradually compressing her own. His eyes, cold yet mocking, stared at her and the faint cold smile on his lips seemed to seep into her very marrow. His fingers slowly placed under her chin, frivolously lifting her face, a strong sense of fear made Miss Klepper completely forget that she was second only to the Swordsman in Sparta, that she was a priestess revered by thousands at the Olympus Temple. At that moment, she felt so helpless, fragile as a lamb laid on a chopping board.
Komer was also considering how he should deal with Miss Klepper.
Although her mind was fully dominated by him for now, she was not an ignorant child after all. Once this intensely fearful period was over, her mind would return to normal, and she would start scheming about how to deal with him, possibly even preemptively taking measures against him. The slight advantage he held would cease to be of much use once she was on guard.
Exposing this matter wouldn’t really benefit him as it would only end up inadvertently benefiting Xerob and his people, while he’d gain virtually nothing. Komer wasn’t willing to engage in an action that was harmful to others but not beneficial to himself. Perhaps maintaining Miss Klepper in a form of puppet usable to him would be better. But how could he achieve that?
"Ah!" A sharp scream escaped Miss Klepper, who hadn’t anticipated Komer’s audacious boldness to commit such an atrocious act within the Temple. Her eyes, hazy with distress, filled with sorrow, but the words rising to her lips were suppressed back by Komer’s fierce gaze, reducing them to a brief two sentences: "Demon! You will be punished!"
"Punishment? Being born into this world is a punishment in itself, from birth to annihilation, it’s all just a process of punishment. Why would I care about a bit more punishment?" Komer’s sinister smile was chilling, his eyes as menacing as a serpent ready to strike.
