The Vastness of Magical Destiny

Chapter 816: Volume 25 Striking the Waters Midstream - 3 Sizable Fruits (2)

"Hayreddin, I’ve seen people correctly before, I’ve always believed in you and expected you to bring glory to me and Caucasus, and now it seems you have done just that, I’m very fortunate for that trip to Odessa, as it’s what allowed me to meet you. You’ve completed the task I assigned to you, and I think I should fully consider giving you a corresponding reward."

Komer did not withhold his praise, although he was still unclear about what the ultimate victory over the Demisheme armed pirate group had won for Caucasus, but just the creation of such a powerful naval fleet had already satisfied Komer considerably. Even though this fleet might not compare to the Carter Fleet or the Gray Skull Fleet, Komer believed that if this fleet could integrate the Homer Fleet, he could at least deter the guys to the north of Homer, and that was crucial for his future plans.

"My Lord, all this was only possible with your support and guidance; Hayreddin has merely followed your instructions and did what ought to be done," Hayreddin was somewhat taken aback by such high praise from Komer. Without Komer’s full support back then, without those magic-armed guns and Mirror of Thousand Miles, he wouldn’t have been able to achieve such success in such a short time, and might very well have been completely wiped out by the Demisheme in the first battle.

"Well, Hayreddin, you needn’t be overly modest. I understand that a knight might be better suited for your current status. As the commander of the Caucasus Fleet, it shouldn’t still be borne by an ordinary Free Citizen." Komer decisively interrupted the other’s words, "I am very interested in your experiences in the Southern Mediterranean and the Storm Ocean. If there’s time, I really want to satisfy my curiosity."

Perhaps Komer’s words suddenly reminded Hayreddin, pulling him out of his elation, "My Lord, I almost forgot, I’ve brought someone back for you, and I must also report to you about our Caucasus Fleet’s current activities in the Southern Mediterranean Region."

"Oh? A person?" Komer’s interest piqued instantly, what sort of person could make Hayreddin this serious in recommending them to him? "Then why don’t you invite them in?"

Seeing that Komer didn’t ask who it was, Hayreddin felt a surge of warmth inside. Such trust clearly showed the noble lord’s high regard, and with a slight bow, Hayreddin turned to leave. He did not dare bring the person in without Komer’s permission; after all, this individual was infamous and overly sensitive. His bounty in the Southern Mediterranean had reached 100,000 Gold Shields, but no one could hope to capture him, unless he walked into the net himself.

Komer waited with interest to see whom Hayreddin would bring before him. He also noticed the hesitation on Hayreddin’s face, which piqued his curiosity even more. He could not imagine who could make Hayreddin treat them with such regard, yet also with such wariness. However, when that person appeared before Komer with Hayreddin, Komer almost immediately understood why Hayreddin had that look and mindset.
