The Vastness of Magical Destiny

Chapter 688: Volume Nineteen: Lost Horizon - Sixteen: Wind and Thunder Magic Harp

Even though Komer understood that what he said might be true, Katrina knew that if she didn’t deliver a necessary counterstrike to such a bold challenge at her doorstep, the reputation of the Red-haired Witch would likely fade significantly across the Mediterranean. With a slight gesture, Katrina’s body had already quietly shifted away.

The piercing shriek that followed, accompanied by numerous javelins and crossbow bolts, sealed off every inch of space and angle within several meters around Komer. This pure physical attack had no trickery, just a forceful blow. The only way to dodge such an attack would be to vanish into the earth. Even if the ground were completely made of smooth marble slabs, Komer was confident he could disappear without a trace, but he did not wish to do that yet. He needed to assert the necessary deterrence against his adversary.

A series of Stone Golems formed a circular arrangement around Komer like shadows, tightly enclosing him in their center. His fingers danced through a series of gestures, and he chanted multiple Magic Spells, leaving him somewhat out of breath. The javelins and crossbows, carrying immense force, collided with the magically conjured Stone Golems, causing violent tremors. Several Golems shattered under the relentless barrage of javelins, but new Earth Elemental Giants rose to fill the ranks. It seemed as though the frenzied assault would persist indefinitely, almost as if the enemy intended to exhaust all of Komer’s strength with this method.

Shaking his head slightly, Komer let out a serene smile. This tactic might be effective against other Mages, but it was laughable against him, having just acquired the Power of the Dark Emperor. The enduring Magic power, though not infinite, was more than enough to handle this situation. And Komer had no intention of getting entangled any further.

In Komer’s hands, the seven-string harp sounded with a gentle pluck. The pleasant melody flowed through the hall, unfazed by the javelins and crossbow bolts whizzing by, a divine sound from a Different World.

"Let the storm of wind and thunder rage fiercer, O King of Elements, I require your blessing!" In Komer’s hands, the exquisite and ornate seven-string harp transformed into a versatile Magic Prop. The dazzling colors on the bow coursed through each string, turning into something enigmatic. As the melody dropped to an oppressively low hum, Komer’s nimble fingers raced across the strings, calling forth the rumbling sound of wind and thunder!

"The Wind and Thunder Magic Harp?!" A scream of terror came from the side hall. When Katrina, anxiously, looked at one of her three Mages, his face, ashen as dead gray, trembled uncontrollably, his pupils dilated as if foretelling something.

"What Wind and Thunder Magic Harp?" Katrina shouted in frustration, "That’s nothing but a seven-string harp every Bard possesses. Have you gone mad?"
