The Vastness of Magical Destiny

Chapter 600: Volume 15: Thunder Shakes the Ground - 18: Three Hundred Years of Waiting

The giant zombie, once frozen stiff as ice, suddenly regained the ability to move. Although it still could not be as agile as under normal circumstances, the mere fact that its body could move meant it no longer stood like an ice block awaiting shattering by the Dragon Spear. The force of the incoming Dragon Spear seemed to be diverted off-course by some sudden external force, striking the giant zombie’s shoulder obliquely.

Shatima, who had intended to smash his opponent into countless pieces with a single strike, was momentarily taken aback. He felt only a cold chill entwining him, gripping his body like sticky mud, preventing any movement. Startled and panic-stricken, Shatima had no time to think further. He roared angrily and jerked his body backward violently, as if trying to break free from some kind of restraint, flying backward, but the shadowy aura that followed him like a curse could not be shaken off. It clung to him tightly and even seemed to gradually seep into his body.

Komer had sensed something was wrong the moment the Charming Spirit appeared. Although this spirit did not have a physical body, it still existed as an intangible form of energy that could transmit its power through air as a medium. Yet its lack of a substantial body imposed many restrictions on it, so it was not omnipotent.

"Lome! Cast the Holy Light Purification Spell!" Komer could no longer control his emotions and virtually roared the command. If things continued this way, his group would sooner or later perish at the hands of this deranged lunatic. The two giant zombies alone were enough to take everyone’s lives, not to mention the Soul Eating Gnomes and Black Warriors bolstering their ranks!

Lome, who had remained hidden behind Komer, had already pushed his mana to the limit. As Komer’s words fell, a series of Light Balls burst forth one after another in the sky above the square, the silver-white sacred flame shining like the rising moon and instantly illuminating the entire darkness!

Komer could clearly feel the agonized screams transmitted through the psychic link from the opponent, clearly indicating that even the spirit suffered damage under the cleansing of the Holy Light. No matter how cunning and devious she was, she had to retreat from the primal counteracting magic and hide back into the darkness.

"Kid, quite interesting, daring to use the Church of Light’s magic to harm me! But this is just the beginning. We still have more to play for. That Ice Dragon, I’m going to use its dragon skin to make a drum, its dragon tendons for a whip. I have no intention of giving it the dignified status of a dragon zombie—it almost destroyed my Beamon warriors! Kid, the next act is about to begin!"

Another wave of psychic communication came through, and Komer realized the opponent was about to launch another offensive. The giant zombie that Shatima had knocked down had narrowly escaped destruction at the last moment. Komer didn’t know how the spirit had managed to thaw the giant zombie’s body so quickly, as it would have shattered just as surely from the fall otherwise. Now, there was merely a hole in the zombie’s left shoulder, its body a bit stiff, but it was healing rapidly, while the other giant zombie picked up its pace to overtake its wounded counterpart and lunged forward!
