This Lich Requests More Remuneration

Chapter 744 - 617 Betting on the Devil’s Honor

"Zariel, I’m afraid your wish will be hard to fulfill."

Amberser’s words plunged Zariel into despair, but the Angel, struggling to control his emotions, asked, "What’s the difficulty? I know your personality; just tell me what the cost is."

Amberser however shook his head and said, "I’m a businessman, and I do indeed wish to make some profit in the middle, but that’s only if I can provide what you want. I can raise the price, but I would never deceive my clients with something I can’t provide. Heaven Mountain made it very clear, you are not eligible to return right now."

Zariel said with agitation, "Why not?! Haven’t the years of torment in hell been enough?! What have I done wrong to deserve eternal damnation in Hell!"

In Zariel’s view, he was an angel from Heaven Mountain with a holy mission to oversee the battle in Hell. It was those damned devils who captured him, forcibly turned him into a fallen angel, into a hideous devil. He fought ferociously until he was captured, never once breaking the rules of Heaven Mountain.

The fact that the deities did not come to his aid was one thing, but all he wanted after painfully separating Hell’s power was to go home, and even that was denied?!

"Don’t yell at me," Amberser said helplessly. "I’m not the one who makes the rules; I’m just the messenger. But Heaven Mountain foresaw this issue long ago."

Above the magic mirror, a flood of texts and images appeared, depicting everything that had happened when Zariel first entered Hell.
