That was a pure and sacred flower, a white gold rose, blossoming within Amberser’s mind.

A warm sensation instantly spread throughout his body, giving Amberser a sense of peace he had never felt before.

This was the Holy Light responding to Amberser’s prayers, continuously releasing a gentle power to heal him. Had he been a typical mortal, this bath in the Holy Light would have rendered him immune to all diseases and slowed his aging process.

But now, Amberser no longer possessed a real body, so the power of the Holy Light acted entirely upon his soul.

Peaceful, comfortable... all distracting thoughts were dispelled by the Holy Light, leaving behind only pure comfort and satisfaction. Originally, Amberser’s memories held much more pain than joy, as his life had been full of turmoil and constant separations and deaths, with only brief moments of happiness.

But at this moment, these painful memories resurfaced, yet they did not cause Amberser pain. Instead, under the comforting influence of the Holy Light, they gradually became blurred, as if he had come to terms with them.

Even though tears streamed down Amberser’s face, he felt the weight on his soul lightening, as if he truly had let go of the past.

This was a very good experience, and if he had fully embraced the baptism of the Holy Light, Amberser might have been able to completely leave his past behind and truly come to terms... However, as the images faded, Amberser suddenly furrowed his brows like someone waking from a nightmare.
