In all of Hell, if there were any devils who had not heard that name, they truly deserved to be dead.

The notorious Deceiver, even the Grand Duke of Hell had to silently accept his schemes. It was said that now he had become a distinguished guest of Duke Zariel.

This significant figure must have some profound intention; it was not something Cambion, a mere Cambion, could question. But Cambion was not fool; not understanding Amberser’s commands did not mean he would ignore them. He began to closely observe those Minor Coward Demons and inferior demons in the territory, trying to figure out what exactly the Deceiver intended to do with these wastes.

Then Cambion noticed a pattern; every so often, a few Minor Coward Demons or inferior demons would meet with Melina, and afterwards, they seemed completely transformed.

Clearly, these lucky ones had received a substantial amount of Soul Currency. Devils needed souls to grow stronger, especially those freshly transformed sinners who were at their weakest, requiring only a slight resource to quickly level up.

Cambion had initially thought the Deceiver was selecting talented devils to nurture, to become the real power of the territory. However, this was not the case. These imps, after gaining a certain level of strength, would leave the territory.

Each devil that left took with them one or several Magic Mirrors capable of instant communication, and they all had looks of excitement as if leaving to accomplish some great endeavor.

Seeing this, Cambion could no longer inquire further.

A subordinate must know their limits; it was feasible to inquire about information that could be easily known by a glance, but it wasn’t worth the risk to dig deeper into more profound matters. Knowing might not benefit oneself, and could even potentially anger the Deceiver.
