Two Reincarnated

Chapter 25: The strange mansion

Meanwhile, in the carriage, Hajime had begun to move his whole body on command. However, the problem was that he still couldn’t see properly. And the moment he tried to push his legs to stand, he felt the chain that was tied to him.

"... Why am I tied to a chain?" He wondered with curiosity.

To confirm his situation, he slowly grabbed the chain and pulled it, but the moment he did so, he heard a small moan coming from in front of him.

"Hmm, what was that?"

Even though his hands were still numb, he grabbed the chain even tightly and pulled it again with some muscle in it. But as soon as he did so, he felt as if he was dragging something heavy towards himself.

He stopped and wondered if the chain was also tied to something else, like a big rock, but why would he be tied to a rock? "Damn, if I could only see." He uttered under his breath.

Suddenly, he heard a faint voice coming from the other side of the chain he was holding. "Please... Stop. It..."

Caught by surprise, he dropped the chain. In front of him, there were four people sitting side by side to each other, and they were also bound to the same chain that was tied to him. They wore torn clothes, and their hair was a mess.

"Who’s there?" He asked, hoping for an answer, but they just kept quiet as if they didn’t hear him. But he asked again, twisting his head side by side to try and maybe figure out who was with him, but still, his eyes couldn’t see a thing except for the light of day.

"Who’s there?"

One of them just looked at him with a scared look on her face, but then, a second later, turned her away without saying anything. But Hajime was tired of waiting for an answer he wasn’t going to get; he grabbed the chain again and pulled it with most of the strength he had.
