Chapter 60 Portal Formation
(In the palace)
The sky was just starting to lighten when Kaelith stepped out of his room. The manor was quiet, the guards stood at their usual posts, and few of the servants walked to and fro around the open space.
Kaelith folded his hands behind his back. Today would be the first day that he would start training with Scarlet. "Troublesome." He clicked his tongue in annoyance.
Part of him wondered why he was even doing all of this. ’It is better to have some little minions.’
When he got to the entrance gate. Scarlet was already waiting by the gate, adjusting the edge of his white cloak. The moment his eyes landed on Kaelith, he ran towards him. "Brother."
Kaelith spared him a glance before walking past him.
A little taken aback by his reaction, Scarlet awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "I guess there was not much progress in our bonding." He muttered under his breath.
Following Kaelith’s footsteps, they both entered a black carriage with a golden intricate design.
The ride to Gabriel’s manor was a quiet one. Scarlet was lost in his thoughts, he couldn’t help but feel a little nervous and excited to actually train. He had followed Kaelith’s step of reading books... because he didn’t want to fall short in comparison to him in that aspect. And didn’t want to be seen as useless.
And now finally he was going to train... to be able to fight.
Scarlet stared out of the window, and most of the time, he tapped his fingers on his knees.
