Lord of Ascension: The Birth of Chaos

Chapter 48 I Want to Train

Kaelith let go of him, with the thought that he wouldn’t touch her.

But Scarlet’s face turned red with anger, and the next second, his hands flew up, pulling the girl’s hair.

Before Kaelith could separate the fight, a loud thud echoed as one of them flew through the air, slamming against the gate before dropping to the ground.

.......

Silence ensued as the air was covered with a blanket of tension. Kaelith sat on the far end of the chair, his eyes flickering between Scarlet, who sat on the other end of the chair, and the girl, kneeling on the ground with her hands raised above her head; her dark brown hair was like a bird’s nest.

Scarlet’s eyes weren’t the only part of him that was bruised; the corner of his lips was bruised, and his back had purple and red bruises.

Gabriel sat in the chair opposite them, his brows knitted together as he glared at his daughter. "Emelia... how dare you lay a hand on a royal?" his voice thundered through the room.

Emelia flinched, her eyes avoiding Gabriel’s. "I was only defending myself," she grumbled.

"Liar! You hit me in my eye first," Scarlet snapped at her. "Ouch. Ouch," he cried as he strained his back.

"But you called me a thief and dumb," she shot back at him. She met his eyes, and lightning sparked in their eyes.

"Weren’t you one? You were sneaking out of the gate... not only are you a thief and dumb, but you are also a brute with no brain," Scarlet yelled at her.
