Chapter 75: Exploring the Dragon Clan!

The gentle chime of the wind-crystals faded behind them as Astralene stood and gave Damon one last lingering look.

"I’ll be going now," she said, slipping her fingers through a constellation-shaped brooch on her waist. With a soft flash, the Book of Destiny appeared once more in her hand. "If I’m to be of use to you, I must reclaim the power I had before I was sealed. I’ve slumbered too long. The stars within me must burn once again."

Damon nodded, "You’ll find it again. I’m sure of it."

Her eyes twinkled, and for a moment, that confident smirk returned to her lips, "Of course I will. I’m not the kind of woman who lets fate outpace me."

And with that, she turned and walked away, light trailing behind her form like a comet’s tail, leaving Damon alone beneath the terrace.

He exhaled and stood up, looking around the Dragon Clan’s vast estate, a sprawl of towering structures, crystalline towers shaped like coiled dragons, wide courtyards carved into mountaintops, and lakes of glowing mana beneath floating isles.

It was his first time here, so he had never explored this place before, and that would change today. He brushed off any dust off his cloak and looked around, deciding to pick one of the cardinal points.

Choosing East, Damon walked in that direction, setting off on a winding pathway from the central palace.

Walking through the Eastern part of the estate, Damon saw a-lot of unique things. First, he saw the BlackSmithing Area, where weapons were made out of the blood and bones of slain monsters.

The BlackSmiths were mostly all Elder Dragons, with only around 7 younger dragons who were obviously disciples learning the craft. They all immediately realized who he was and greeted him, and he greeted them back, continuing on.

The deeper Damon traveled into the Clan’s territory, the more surreal the landscape became.
