Transmigrated Into The True Heiress

Chapter 100: Dimming

"Your dress is ready!" Jania’s voice echoed through the room as she barged into Eira’s quarters. Her announcement, however, was met with silence. Frowning, Jania scanned the room and found Eira seated in an armchair by the window, her gaze fixed on the greenery of the garden bathed in the dimming evening light.

"Are you alright?" Jania asked, walking over and bending down until their faces were level, her raised brow full of concern.

Eira sighed, finally tearing her eyes away from the window. "I’m fine, just... thinking." She stood, smoothing the wrinkles from her denim pants. "Let me see the dress."

"Alright," Jania drawled, still eyeing her suspiciously, before turning to the maid standing in the doorway. "Bring the dress here."

The maid stepped forward, carefully holding up the dress. Jania took it from her and held it out for Eira to inspect.

"Doesn’t it look amazing? I picked it myself. You wear a lot of white, so I thought, why not go all in? And voilà—a white bodycon dress! Asymmetrical hem, perfect fit. You’re going to love it."

Eira reached out, brushing her fingers over the soft fabric. The dress was off-shoulder, with long sleeves that reached the knuckles. It had a large bow on the left hip, with a draped panel extending to mid-calf on the right side. A small smile played on her lips. "It’s beautiful, Jania. Thank you."

"Great! Now let’s get you ready." Jania placed the dress on the bed, clapping her hands with excitement.

Eira, however, rolled her eyes. "Not yet. I don’t feel like doing anything right now. Especially not going to dinner with my dear family."

Her tone turned icy, her thoughts drifting to the call she’d received yesterday as soon as she left Cyran’s home.
