Chapter 51: Highgrove Village
"Really? You’ll take me with you? Yes! Thank you! I promise to tell my father to reward you when I get back home!" Tyria hugged Gwen and squealed with joy.
"Yeah, yeah. Like I said, don’t cause any trouble. If you run away again, I’m not looking for you. Also, I’m just letting you know this right now. We’re adventurers, which means we don’t have access to the fancy stuff a woman of your status would. So, I better not hear any complaining from you one bit. If I do, you’re gone!"
Tyria nodded, accepting Kai’s demands. She was too scared to be on her own. Besides, she thought he was very handsome, so listening to a man like him wouldn’t be a problem for her.
Kai made dinner for Tyria as he assumed she would be starving, which she was. After that, they set up their tents and went to sleep.

"So, Tyria, what can you do? I can sense mana from you. Do you wield magic or a weapon?" Gwen asked, trying to make conversation.
"I use magic. My mother taught me from a young age. I also go to the Royal Academy for Magic and Martial Arts, and I’ve learned from there as well."
"That’s amazing. Kai and I plan on applying to the Hero Academy, but that’s for later. We want to become S-Rank Adventurers first."
"Wait." She turned to Kai. "I thought you were a Rank-10 warrior."
"I am." He confirmed
"Then how come you aren’t an S-Rank adventurer yet? I’m sure you’re more than strong enough to become one." Her first thought was that he was faking his rank. She heard that faking ranks is common among adventurers.
