Chapter 29: Final Hunt
Kai was strolling through the village, enjoying the scenery and the feeling it gave off.
It was a relatively small village with a population of about 1,000 people, men, women, children, and the elderly. But even with such a low population, the village looked nice and had a welcoming, homey vibe.
Kai could tell from looking around that the main occupation of this village was hunting and selling animal skin and herbs. The men handled the hunting while the woman handled the herbs.
Not everyone worked this way, but about half of them did. As he looked around, he saw a weapons shop and decided to enter it.
While he didn’t need weapons, he still decided to browse to feed his curiosity after being in the village for a week.
"You’re not from around here, are ya?" The store owner asked. He was a big, burly man, maybe around his late 40s. He had a thick black mustache and was bald.
"Yeah, just came in town last week," Kai replied
The man nodded. "So, what ya need?"
"Got anything that will help fight a primal beast?" He asked
"You’ve come to the right shop. I got everything you need. Come, take a look." The man went to the back of the shop and came back with multiple weapons, trinkets, and traps that could be used for the hunt.
Each item was in tip-top shape and was of the best quality for the purpose it served. He knew this because he used his Appraisal on them to make sure he wasn’t getting scammed. Well, not like he can get scammed anyway.
