Chapter 85: Getting Devin a Little Gift, Incident
The sun was still high, casting sharp shadows across the parking lot of the massive Westmont Plaza.
Tyler had parked the Audi cleanly in a spot near the main entrance.
Devin jumped out of the car with a spring in his step, eyes lighting up as he stared at the size of the mall.
"Man... Finally came here again," he said, spinning around to take in the layout.
The first time he came here was after they moved into their new place and Tyler did a total wardrobe overhaul.
He remembered that day and how much his brother had spent. He remembered how his mom was so worried that he was being wasteful.
Tyler smirked and nodded for him to lead the way.
"Let’s get you your Yeezys before someone spots the car and tries to sell your parking space on Craigslist."
Devin chuckled and walked towards the mall’s entrance.
They walked through the sliding glass doors and into the bright, air-conditioned mall.
The place was alive with families, kids, young couples, and weekend wanderers. For a Friday afternoon, it was busy. But Tyler didn’t mind.
