Returning to Dominate The World With My Knowledge System

Chapter 13: Doing What’s Needed

After dropping Devin off at school, Tyler didn’t turn in the direction of his, instead he started making his way home.

His current objective was to check the lottery’s draw result at Tony’s store. As for school, it’s not in anyway important to him.

As someone who had already gone through the education system—and been chewed up by it—school held no appeal for him. Especially with how useless it was for him in the long run.

The things topping his list of priorities at the moment are: making the money needed to fix his family’s current financial situation, unlocking a Core knowledge branch before the 72-hour window expires, and—last on the list—finding a cure for the illness. School didn’t even make the list.

This urgency was even more pressing considering he had only a few hours left before the 72-hour discount expired.

He received the discount at noon, nearly three days ago. Over 60 hours had already passed. If he didn’t get the required amount soon, it would expire.

But Tyler was also aware that he would still have some explanation to do if he really skips school today. As he’d have to dodge questions from his mom later, and that was why he decided that he would still try to go after he gets his winnings.

There was always the possibility that he didn’t win. But Tyler refused to entertain that thought.

Right now, he had no backup plan, no safety net—just a single ticket and the hope that the universe hadn’t turned on him again.

He had no choice but to believe he won.

Another thing to consider is the time it usually takes to process the payment of the winning tickets.
