Shen Heyu quietly looked at Pei Yansi for three seconds before finally saying just one sentence, "Let’s wait for Zhao Jin to arrive and hear what he has to say."

"I only trust evidence."
"Then tell me, the evidence that you came here today to question me about, the incident when I went to that abandoned factory to rescue you, do you have any evidence to suggest it was all staged by me?" Pei Yansi had never done such a thing, and he wanted to see what evidence the real perpetrator could fabricate to slander him.
Shen Heyu took out the two files that Lu Yi had sent to her, and after Pei Yansi looked at them, he just scoffed.
"So on the strength of these, you come to doubt me, Shen Heyu—I didn’t expect to be held in such a low regard in your heart."

"That’s right, I do trust him. Are you satisfied with that answer?" Shen Heyu looked Pei Yansi in the eyes as she answered straightforwardly, his hands clenching involuntarily at his sides.
