The convex outer side is a wall of innumerable sheer cliffs, bordering the Cold Moon Bay to the west with sides extending sinuously outwards, forming grand mountain ranges to the northeast and southeast respectively.
The mountain range to the north is known as the Helan Mountain Range. It crosses from the southeast of Mobei state, running straight into Helan Province, spanning the entire territory of Helan Province, then entering Jing’an State, piercing through the entire northern border of Jing’an State, with its smaller ranges even stretching into the Chaotic Soul Ocean to the northeast of the continent, a journey spanning over a hundred thousand miles.
The mountain range to the south is called the Yan Chi Mountain Range. It also passes through Dragon Pool, Yan Chi, and Chuan Nan states, and continues to run into the boundless ocean on the southern side.
These two main mountain ranges extending from the Cold Moon Plateau stand tall and continuous, traversing through six of the Immortal Dynasty’s nine states, with countless smaller ranges deriving from them and covering nearly the entirety of the Immortal Dynasty.
For this reason, the Cold Moon Plateau is also known as the "Continental Backbone".
