Perserque’s face turned pale. She tried to run away in a hurry, yet she was left with no escape route, giving her no choice but to get caught.
However, she was tight-lipped, and in the end, Davey didn’t get the information he wanted.
“I’ll never tell you! Not even if I die.” She clammed up like she had just made a life-altering decision, leaving him with nothing he could do.
She knew all too well how much Davey would tease her if he found out the details.
In the end, Davey gave up on trying to get the story of her cringe mage days out of her. Yet, he didn’t give up entirely. He figured the second best would have to do, so he decided to consult the knowledge of someone who knew her well.
He asked Ares, the Sword God who resided in the Saint Sanctuary, for help. Knowing how bad-tempered Ares was, Davey figured the man just might spill the beans. At least, that was what he thought. Unfortunately, Ares claimed he didn’t know what Perserque was like back then.
Not to leave Davey empty-handed, however, he shared a few embarrassing moments of Perserque from her growing years.
Naturally, when Perserque heard what he had done, she nearly flew off to tear Ares apart, but considering that Davey was essentially the only one who could bring her into the Saint Sanctuary, she had no choice but to swallow her anger.
After Super Ribbon left for Earth to prepare for college, the Gourmet Research Society also followed her for fun.
Time passed quietly, and the little one who had settled inside Perserque’s belly grew steadily without any issues.
There were only occasional updates coming from Josiah to read.
Davey was a bit concerned about what Baris had told him, yet fortunately, they remained nothing more than rumors. Nothing escalated from the racial issues involving Josiah or Perserque.
