Chapter 1234
There were many members of the Bosta Kingdom’s royal family. Vasilion le Bosta was the youngest of the princes.
“Your Highness, the suspension of that Count Chyde's disgraceful heir has about a month left.”
Despite his soft appearance, the boy spoke in a chilling voice as he sat in a rocking chair, swirling a glass of wine with a sly grin. “Is the hearing already prepared?”
“Yes. It seems like the Seven Star Professors and the student council have essentially made their decision. They’re still stuck between calling it a hearing or a trial, but the outcome won’t change.”
Truthfully, Vasilion was surprised when he’d heard Mit Chyde had survived the ordeal. If Mit Chyde survived and then pointed to him as the one who tried to assassinate him, it would’ve become a major hassle. Vasilion had no idea how someone on the verge of death had managed to survive, yet the result was undeniable.
He had survived, somehow.
So, Vasilion moved quickly to protect himself. Before Mit could make a move, he manipulated the Seven Star Professors and the student council. He pretended to show mercy, pretending to care for a friend, and thereby delayed the decision on Mit’s punishment.
It was all a method for buying himself time to destroy the evidence and thoroughly drag that loser to ruin.
He had told Mit Chyde he had done all of it just to have some fun. However, the truth was slightly different.
“I was a little surprised when I heard that the guy came back alive, but we were faster, weren’t we?”
The person kneeling before Vasilion bowed his head. “Just as you said, we’ve covered all the bases. No one will believe a word Mit Chyde says. Once his suspension ends, with our preparations already complete, we’ll summon him to the hearing and finish it there.”
“Good. Anything else?”
