Chapter 1133
Being surrounded by a pack of wolves that killed all humans on sight wasn’t something an ordinary person would ever experience. Even if they did, it would be the last experience they ever had.
In other words, surviving something like that was practically impossible.
Normally, that kind of situation didn’t happen, since the monster wolves usually moved in small groups of three or four. Whenever more would gather, they’d only start fighting among themselves due to their territorial nature, so a pack of such large size was unheard of.
Practically no one could stand against such a mob. Even an Awakened individual seasoned in dealing with wolves wouldn’t have a chance facing so many snarling attackers at once.
Grrrrr.
Evangeline glared at the wolves, her eyes burning with hostility despite the fear coursing through her. There were still survivors among the people, though some were badly wounded.
‘They need healing.’
Alas, the number of monsters kept increasing for some reason.
She could tell that something was definitely off. She had noticed something strange about the wolves using the keen perception she possessed as a dragon.
Their movements made it seem as if they were blindly following something, yet regardless of whatever it was, the outcome would remain unchanged when facing Evangeline.
As she took stock of the situation, she discovered that with the exception of the woman she had saved, the remaining survivors looked at her with fearful eyes. Even so, she didn’t have the time available to care about them.
Ever since she was younger, she had always dreamt of becoming a hero. That dream was what had driven her to run away from home, during which time she’d ended up causing a major incident in the northern part of the eastern continent.
