Chapter 1094.1
Once the deafening roar ripped through and Davey dropped down, an enormous space he hadn’t anticipated began to reveal itself before him.
Though half of it had been destroyed, it was clear at a glance how massive the space was. Even within the wreckage, traces of what had once been there were still visible.
“Master Davey, mission complete,” Rinne reported with a slightly weary expression.
Davey looked at her and walked over. “What happened to you? Did you overuse Sephirothization or something?”
“Result of negligence. Rinne reports that she has failed to properly recharge her energy.”
He wasn’t exactly surprised to hear that. She’d been so focused on eating lately that she’d neglected to absorb energy the natural way for her.
“What kind of robot slacks off on her job?”
“Rinne has no argument or mitigating factors. Emotion circuits are overheating rapidly. Rinne states this as shame.”
“Forget it. It’s fine as long as you’re not seriously hurt,” he said calmly.
He then looked up and took in the utter devastation in the surroundings. “Did a civil war break out or something?”
What he saw was a giant monster with a body covered in countless tentacles like some massive octopus, sporting a mouth filled with rows of circular, jagged teeth. Instead of a tongue inside its mouth, there was something that looked like the upper half of a human body.
It was hard to tell if it was male or female, and the creature had its tentacles coiled around a spiritual entity.
