Chapter 1058
Davey couldn’t remember if Perserque had ever been so intense before.
Day or night, he had always gone through countless battles with her—but it was the first time things had been so one-sided.
She had dragged him to the bedroom, thrown him onto the bed, and climbed right on top of his stomach.
Startled, Davey had turned his head, only to see Rinne poking her head in from outside the window. A moment later, she reached her hand in and gave a quick gesture as if to say, ‘go on, keep doing what you’re doing,’ then vanished completely.
Hoping he could change the mood, he tried to smooth out the awkward atmosphere with a nervous laugh.
“Gaaah?!”
“So you thought I was just playing around, did you?”
From the way she seemed to be barely suppressing her irritation, Davey quickly dropped the playful act and raised both hands in surrender.
“What did you feed me?” she asked sharply.
“Huh?”
“I ended up like this after eating the gift you gave me, so don’t even think about pretending you had nothing to do with it.”
